The Fountainhead (1949)

I never could read through the book, corpulent things are not for me. The film is uptight and too patriotic in its claims of integrity of man, though not that I disapprove of it. Am just not used to such ambience in cinema. The testimony that Howard Roark gives in the court is fairly lopsided but inspiring if you were to ignore reality part by part.

The Man Who Fell To Earth (1976)

A new addition to  my favorites list and during the course of the film, I became obsessed with Bowie.

A Streetcar Named Desire (1951)

I LOVED this film! Every goddamn scene is just so uh right! ya get my urgency of words and excitement here?!

Blanche is so pretentious, you hate her - the way she sings her "Yes" and "Please" and "No"s. Then you see her a la Gloria Swanson from Sunset Blvd (1950) confessing her past - now that's cinema! Leigh totally deserved an Oscar for this one.

Marlon Brando was HAWT, enough said.

Notorious (1946)

Watched: Notorious (1946) *ing Cary Grant, Ingrid Bergman.

She was so damn pretty! Am not such a fan of the movie's plot though, lack lustre ending, am the one for thrilling climaxes in the very Alfred Hitchcock style, this one seems to be an exception.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008)

Watched: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008)

They managed to cram so many timelines and ages of one person into a single movie, neat editing and a lovely story!

Revolutionary Road (2008)

Watched: Revolution Road (2008) *ing Leonardo Di-Caprio, Kate Winslet

They wait 15 long years before deciding to show up on screen like this - well worth the it I'd say. It's takes a little from The Apartment (1960) and It's A Wonderful Life (1946), though rather dark in the storyline.

Revolutionary Road (2008) - Screencaps

Zoe Kazan has a very pin-up girl face. Is it just me or I think that it's sort of becoming an internal trend thing with DiCaprio movies that it has to introduce someone new and talented in a small part? Remember Amy Adams in Catch Me If You Can?

Love this beach scene, so 60s!

The batata vada like drummer of a band at the night club Wheeler's visit.

Michael Shannon is just brilliant as the mathematician confined to psychiatric care.
